From Droplet to Nanofiber.
Electrospinning starts with a charged polymer solution. Apply high-voltage current, and electrostatic force overcomes the liquid's surface tension, pulling it into a fine, continuous jet.
That jet stretches through the air, thinning down to nanometer-scale fibers as it travels. Those fibers settle onto a collector, layer by layer, building a 3D microporous membrane — pores open enough to let moisture vapor escape, yet fine enough to keep water out.
Built fiber by fiber, not cast or stretched like conventional membranes — this is the electrospun membrane inside every NUSPUN® laminate, making ultra-breathable weather protection possible from fiber to finish.
